About Us

Action Center for Development and Community Empowerment, ACEDEVCOME is a local development driven, non-profit making and non-governmental organization started in 2020 as an informal voluntary group. It was later constituted and registered on March 26, 2021 with registration number: 023/RDA/C16/SASC as non-profit making Association. The organization is regulated by Law No: 90/053 of 19th December 1990 governing freedom of associations in Cameroon.

Action Center for Development and Community Empowerment (ACEDEVCOME) is a grass root development organization serving as a community resource center for technical training and education working to empower youths especially vulnerable children, girls and young women towards achieving their development objectives. This community center promotes education for sustainable development, enhances youth welfare issues, human rights education for women and girls especially needy orphans, indigenous children and vulnerable youths.

What we Do

ACEDEVCOME is a resource- based organization. ACEDEVCOME works with a team of resource persons, consultants and volunteers to address key Education and Environmental issues related to social and Economic aspects of global, national and local concerns which affects lives, livelihoods and communities in Cameroon. ACEDEVCOME uses Environmental Education as an approach to share information, create awareness and address issues of global, national and local concern: climate change, Biodiversity conservation, water and waste management, land degradation and disaster risk reduction.

Sectors of Intervention:

Inclusive and holistic education, training, community development, human rights, environment, water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) and livelihood initiatives for poverty alleviation and economic autonomy for the less privilege.

Target Groups and Communities:

Children - Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), women (more specifically single mothers & widows), disadvantaged youths and indigenous forest and rural communities.

Guiding Principles and Core Values:

Inclusion and participation, good governance, fairness and equity, sustainable development, transparency, accountability, gender equality and equal opportunities for all regardless of age, religion, sex, race or tribe..
